Kerala in south India, popular as God's Own Country, is replete with beautiful beaches and breathtaking backwaters. Though a small state with 14 districts, yet Kerala carries the Western Ghats, farmlands planted with various trees, most significant of which is coconut, the rivers Ponnani (Bharathapuzha), Periyar, Chalakudi and Pamba that flow to the Arabian Sea and a variety of flora and fauna as the land and hilly areas are covered with rainforests. Arrival at Kochi Airport in Ernakulam District or Ernakulam Railway Junction! You will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Later, start your day by visiting iconic symbol of Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets! Chinese Fishing Nets are fishing nets that are fixed land-installations for fishing. While commonly known as Chinese Fishing Nets in India, the more formal name for such nets is Shore-operated Lift Nets. Then visit St. Francis Church at Fort Kochi! Originally built in 1503, It is one of the oldest European churches in India and has historical significance, depicting glimpses of past from European colonial times in the sub-continent. Located close to the renowned St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica in Fort Kochi serves as the cathedral church of the Diocese of Cochin, the second oldest Diocese of India. Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica is one of the eight Basilicas in India. Then move to visit Jewish Synagogue! More popularly known as the Paradesi Synagogue, this synagogue was built in the Mattancherry area of Cochin in 1568 to better-serve the Jewish community. The building has been constructed with European, Chinese, Middle Eastern and Indian designs. Later, go to Dutch Palace! The Mattancherry Palace, also known as Dutch Palace, has long and spacious halls and arches, with the ground floor carrying the ladies' room with a staircase to the kanithalam room. Cochin

This morning be on your way to Munnar! One of the most scenic journeys in Kerala is the one from Kochi to Munnar. As you wind your way up this picturesque hill station, you can enjoy some of the best scenery that Kerala has to offer, like rolling hills, forests, spice plantations, wildlife and waterfalls. Situated between Neriamangalam and Adimali, Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls in Munnar are often mentioned together due to their nearness to each other. After arriving at Munnar, make a check-in to the hotel! Later visit Tata Tea Museum And Tea Estates! Overnight Stay at Munnar

On to Munnar (127 kms / 4-hr drive)

Today get ready for full day sightseeing of Munnar! After Breakfast, go to Blossom Park! Spread over around 16 acres, Blossom Park is located at a short distance of 3 kms from Munnar. The park is situated close to Pallivasal Hydro Electric Project. The rare species of flowers make this place worth visiting. Located at a distance of 6 kms from Munnar, Pothamedu View Point is full of tea, coffee and cardamom plantations. Pothamedu is covered with hills and green mountains. Trekkers and hikers love this place. Located at a height of 1700 m above the sea-level, Top Station is the highest point in Munnar. Located on Kannan Devan Hills, one can view the tea valleys, rare species of Neelakurinji plants from Top Station. Views of the Western Ghats and the valley of Theni from the Top Station are just out of the world. Roughly 15 kms from Munnar, Echo Point is known for echoing voices from the nearby mountains. You should go to Echo Point, while making the trip to Top Station, Known as a home of rare species of Nilgiri Tahr, Rajamalai or Eravikulam National Park is located at a distance of 15 kms from Munnar. Eravikulam National Park has number of species of sambar deer, jackals, Indian bisons and a variety of mongoose. It has also been declared as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located at a height of 2695 m, Anamudi Peak is the highest peak in South India. Anamudi Peak is situated inside the Eravikulam National Park. Carmelagiri Elephant Park is located about 5 kms away from Munnar. The elephant safari takes you through the lush forests and beautiful valleys that bring in an exciting experience. Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of 18 wildlife sanctuaries among the protected areas of Kerala. It is known for being the only rehabilitation centre for the Indian star tortoise in India. Devikulam is a wonderful picnic spot located 8 kms away from Munnar. The nearby Sita Devi Lake is frequented by visitors throughout the year. Situated at a distance of around 25 kms from Munnar, Kundala Lake is one of the best sightseeing places in Munnar. You must take a Kashmiri-style Shikara boat-ride at Kundala Lake. Located at a distance of 12 kms from Munnar, Mattupetty Dam is known for its beauty and weather. Visitors can enjoy a boat-ride in the lake of dam and also get involved in various activities. Munnar – Thekkady (almost 100 kms- nearly 3-hr drive)

Today morning after Breakfast, visit Periyar National Park! It is one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world and one of the best-protected reserve areas in India. The park is a natural habitat for royal tigers and majestic elephants, apart from other reptiles, fishes and birds. The placid lake, located near the Periyar National Park, namely Periyar Lake is a famous tourist spot. You can go for boating and enjoy the serene beauty of the surroundings. You might see herds of elephants bathing on the lakeside. You can do hiking and rafting through some of the richest forest tracts of Periyar Tiger Reserve. During the Bamboo Rafting, you can catch a quick glimpse of the magnificent wildlife that thrives in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Later, hit the road for Alleppey! Alleppey, also known as 'Venice of the East', is known for its scenic charms and lovely natural aura. The tranquil beach life, the scenic sunset of Alappuzha beach, the lovely food and the fresh air makes Alleppey a heavenly place. Check-in to your houseboat! Thekkady – Kumarakom/Alleppey (nearly 140 kms-nearly 4-hr drive)

Today after Breakfast, go to Vembanad Lake, India's one of the largest and longest lakes in Kottayam District! This is also called Punnamada. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful places in Kerala. Later, go for a village walk! Later, visit Kottayam city which is nearly 1.30 hr-drive! Splurge on some famous silk sarees! Come back and later in the evening, explore Ayurvedic Centres! Kumarakom is dotted with ayurvedic centres that provide treatments at reasonable prices. Alleppey offers a rich cultural heritage deeply rooted in Kerala's vibrant arts scene. You can relish shows of Kathakali Dance and Kalaripayattu, an Indian martial art that originated in Kerala. After Breakfast, move to Kovalam and check in to the hotel! After some rest, go for sightseeing! Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. Groves of coconut trees form the major part of vegetation. Lighthouse Beach is a 30-m tall lighthouse erected on the Kurumkal Hill, right along the beach, that acts as a landmark to the beach and hence the name. When you climb over 140 steps to reach an observation area, you can see the village of Poovar on one side and Beemapalli Mosque on the other. Napier Museum is situated in the Museum compound, in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city, merely 18 kms far from Kovalam. Built in the 19th century, Kerala's rich cultural heritage is on display at the museum. It contains a host of historical artifacts including bronze idols, ancient mammals, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Kumarakom - Kovalam (175 kms - nearly 5-hr drive).

Today morning after Breakfast, head for Trivandrum! Visit Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum! The history and fame of this temple is intertwined in mystery and rich antiquity. Located inside the East Fort in the capital city of Kerala, Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is a blend of the Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture. Go to Kuthiramalika museum that has idols and sculptures made from white marble, Kathakali figures, Belgian mirrors and paintings. Kuthiramalika Palace is a great example of the Kerala school of architecture and is made from teakwood, rosewood, marble, and granite. Come back to Kovalam in afternoon! Kovalam-Trivandrum-Kovalam

Though Kanyakumari falls in Tamil Nadu, yet it is the part of our Tour. Today drive to Kanyakumari, renowned for being the southernmost point of India and the meeting point of the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, and the Bay of Bengal! The Vivekananda Rock Memorial is located 500 meters off the mainland. To get there, you need to take a 15-minute ferry ride from Kanyakumari that operates from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. depending on the season. Standard tickets usually cost Rs 35.
